Not too many events this week because there is no fun in grade one.
We continue to build our stamina in reading. We are now reading for 13 minutes every day. The time that you spend at home reading with your child is helping with this also.

Each week we will work on recount (journal) writing. To help the students organize their thoughts we use picture cues.

On Saturday my friend Mary Lou and I met at a Spa in a town called Alton.

What (we are using words such as, first , next, then, finally to order the events.)When we first arrived we went for a walk on the property. It was snowing and looked so nice outside. Next we got our room and we made a fire in the fireplace. It was so nice and cozy. After that we went to the spa and went into the outdoor hot springs. We really enjoyed being in the warm water outside and watching the snow falling. Finally we went back to our room and had a lovely dinner. |
