Happy New Year!!

 A Recount of Our Trip to Jean Vanier to See The Sound of Music

On Thursday January 9th, our class went to St. Jean Vanier High School to see the Sound of Music.

First we walked over to the high school.

Next we found our seats.

Then the play started.

 

 After that, the actors sat down and we asked questions.

 

 

Finally we went back to Cameron Street and had a snack 

We all enjoyed the play. 

 

 

 Here are some of the comments from the children:

 

*I like the music because it was peaceful. (Ty)

 

*I like Maria because I like the song Doe a Deer. (Joey)

 

*I like all of the children because they sing pretty. (Leah)

 

*My favourite character was Maria because she saved the children from the storm. (Payton)

 

*I liked the maids because they were funny. (Zoe)

 

*I liked the part of Liesl because she was dancing with the boy. (Catarina)

 

*I liked the yodelling because it was cool.  (Dahlia)

 

 

 

 

 



 

 Pajama Day

 

Count down to 12:00 (noon) to wish all of our friends at school a happy new year. 

 

Mr. Drurie led the school cheer.

 

What an exciting first week.

Wednesday January 15th   Library (book exchange)

 

Thursday January 16th    Science

 

 

Not quite as exciting as last week. 

 

 Something to start thinking about is Dress as your Favourite Literary Character day, January 27.
