Important Events This Week

Newstelling

The children have been introduced to newstelling.  It is a structured approach to orally sharing experiences.  Newstelling develops skills in planning and presenting the main elements of a recount-when, who, where. what, why.  It also helps promote critical listening and effective listening skills.

I have been modeling how to tell a recount and we have been telling some news together.  Each child will be asked to present a recount to the class as an oral language activity.  I will be sending home more information at the end of the week.

This is a recount of Municipal Works Day.
