Wow! Can you believe that it is December already? We had some great Newstelling presentations last week. It was so great to hear about different adventures that the children have experienced. All of the children showed that they were able to follow the newstelling plan. Our next step will be to write about things in our journals. This can be supported at home by keeping a journal or write a friend or relative to tell them about your news.
Use this plan to help when writing to help organize the ideas.

Here is an example what a letter could look like.
Dear Parents,
On Thursday our class went to an assembly about science.
First we learned how to do fishy hands. We flapped our hands and made noises with our mouths. We all stopped at the same time when we got the signal to stop.
Next the doctors showed us some experiments. This one he heated up the tube.....and when he held it up, it made a sound.
Then we learned how hot air can make things rise.
After that, mixing things to make smoke.
Finally, we saw smoke rings come shooting out of a hole in a pail when the doctor hit the bottom of the pail
We were so excited about the experiments because they were amazing. Science is like magic!
